The family of Ahmed Mayowa Shukurat, has come out in a new video to debunk claims by Nollywood actress, Toyin Aimakhu and other media outlets that they were scamming Nigerians which we brought to you here.
Her cousin, Habeeb recorded this video message on behalf of the family. In the video, the young man took time to answer questions in the minds of members of the public.

He explained that the fundraising endeavour to help his cousin was not a scam and there were various correspondence with foreign hospitals to prove it.

Speaking with Pulse reporters, Mayowa’s sister also said her family members are not deceiving Nigerians. She added that her sister has been crying due to the allegations levelled against her family. Watch the video of her interview below:

The Chief Medical Director, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi Araba, Professor Chris ‘Bode, reacting to the incident, said the management of the hospital was not aware of the scam and will investigate the report.

“I am hearing the case for the first time,” the LUTH boss told Tribune.
