The religious satellite TV is owned by Believers’ Loveworld Incorporated popularly known as Christ Embassy. Oyakhilome is the BLW President. Office of Communications (Ofcom), the regulatory authority for broadcasting in the UK announced the sanction on Wednesday. The agency said a 29-hour programme, the Global Day of Prayer, breached rules by presenting “potentially harmful” claims about coronavirus. The programme aired from December 1 2020, claimed that the pandemic was a “planned” event created by the “deep state” for nefarious purposes. The broadcast asserted that the COVID-19 vaccine is a plot to administer nanochips to control people. The Loveworld telecast further linked coronavirus to the rollout of 5G technology, a postulation long debunked. Ofcom noted that the breach followed previous, similar breaches in 2020 d

Abe’s spokesperson, Parry Benson, issued his reaction in a statement Wednesday night. Abe told a gathering of All Progressives Congress (APC) faithful in Port Harcourt that Amaechi’s declaration was a Greek gift to the riverine people. The ex-Rivers South-East representative described it as “a poisoned chalice bound to fail”. The chieftain said zoning remains a process and that the Minister’s view was not the position of the majority of APC members. “If you just stand and carry a microphone and begin to zone and unzone, everybody knows what you are doing. And so long as it is singularly done, it will not work,” he said. Abe noted that those in riverine areas are smarter than those “who are trying to use them”. He said no tribe nor group can produce a Governor without the cooperation and consultation with other group
