Unknown gunmen had kidnapped two Chinese nationals working with a fishery and poultry company in Ogun State. The two foreigners were abducted on Wednesday afternoon at their place of work in Oba community, Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State. The Police in Ondo have commenced a probe into the death of dozens of cows in Akungba-Akoko, Akoko South West Local Government Area. The incident occurred on Monday night at Ibaka, the area where Adekunle Ajasin University is located. There are speculations that the cows owned by one Ibrahim Saliu were poisoned. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed 121 fresh cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in 13 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The development brings the total number of recorded cases in the country so far to 162,762. The health agency made the announcement on Tuesday night while giving a daily report via its official website. NCDC also said about 7 patients died of the COVID-19 complications in the last 24 hours, bringing the total fatalities so far to 2,056. The agency further stated that no fewer than 1,066 patients were newly discharged after testing negative for the virus twice.
