Veteran and Grammy Award-nominated icon, Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye widely known as King Sunny Ade, has officially become the first Nigerian musician to donate pieces from his personal reserve to Hard Rock’s world-famous memorabilia collection. On Wednesday, November 30, 2016, the Juju maestro donated a vintage Fender Guitar and other personal items including an album cover and a pair of shoes at Hard Rock Cafe Lagos. Don Jazzy, Iyanya, Tiwa Savage, Di’Ja, Korede Bello, Peter PSquare, Bovi, Kunle Afolayan, Olisa, Terry Apala, Chris Ubosi and many others graced the occasion. Speaking at the event, King Sunny Ade revealed that he bought his vintage guitar 30 years ago when he wanted to record his album. He further said he spoke to the guitar, telling it to be good to him and make him a good record so that the world would appreciate it. Governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ben Ayade, recently crowned winner of Miss Africa pergeant with $25,000 & a brand new car. 23-year-old Neurite Mendes from Angola, Sunday morning, emerged winner of the maiden edition of Miss Africa beauty pageant organised by the Cross River State government. She defeated 17 other contestants, carting home a Sport Utility Vehicle and a cash prize of 25,000 dollars (N11,000,0000) at the grand finale which took place at the prestigious Calabar International Convention Centre.
