Seyi Law Apologises To Wife For Tasteless Divorce Joke

Nigerian comedian, Seyi Law caused a social media buzz over the weekend when he announced that his marriage to Stacey Aletile had hit the rocks.

This was coming after a post he made on Instagram in which he insinuated that he and his wife, Stacey Aletile have parted ways.

However, in a new development to the story, it appears the comedian was simply joking as hours after he made the post, he has apologised to his wife for the costly divorce joke.

In a post on his Instagram page, the comedian said the joke was out of line.

Reacting to the viral response to his post, he took to social media and wrote,

“Fake news spread faster than wildfire”.

It would be recalled that his earlier post that he and Aletile had separated read,

“Due to irreconcilable differences would have been enough to announce this, but the kind and beautiful heart of my ex-wife must be stated. She is one of the best women I have ever known.

It is however sad, that I announce that my wife and I have decided to part ways for good. We will appreciate your love and support at this time. God bless you. Tiwaloluwa is safe and good.”

In January of this year, the 35-year-old laugh master took to his Instagram page to disclose that the people he has trusted the most in his life have been his greatest enemies. He also reflected on how one of the most profound lessons he has learnt in life is that strangers will have limited chances of harming a person if close relatives do not talk.
